Shakespeare SALT Surf reels are available in the two most popular sizes for surfing and both have been fitted with a large capacity spool and a spare spool. This allows you to cast the kind of distance you need to reach well beyond the surface, reaching fish beyond the breakers. The lightweight anodised aluminium spool is supported by a smooth drag system that allows you to lock in the cast. In addition to this, the 7+1 stainless steel ball bearing system in combination with the strong gearing ensures perfectly smooth operation. Thanks to the anti-twist line-roller, the reel can handle all types of line, whether you prefer mono or braided, this reel can handle it all.
