Saltist MQ is the new 2021 front drag reel launched by Daiwa for spinning fishing in sea and freshwater for large predators both from the shore and from the boat.
The body is made entirely of aluminum and uses the Japanese company's patented "Monocoque" technology, meaning it is a monocoque machined from solid. This brings astonishing advantages in terms of rigidity and waterproofing. Not only that, but thanks to this design they were able to insert larger, solid aluminum gears inside, which translates into unprecedented power and exceptional fluidity and smoothness.
The rotor is made of Zaion, a carbon-based composite material patented by Daiwa, which is resistant to salt and sea water and offers amazing strength despite its extremely low weight.
To increase waterproofing from external agents, the now tested Magsealed system, also patented by the company itself, has been adopted, which prevents water infiltration inside the body.
Finally the clutch is a carbon ATD for maximum performance.
It is recommended for all inshore and off shore fishing for marine predators such as Lecce amia, bluefish, red tuna and sea bass, in freshwater for pike and catfish.
