Duo Tide Minnow Slim 140 Floating

The Tide Minnow Slim 140 has enjoyed its popularity among surf fishermen and the long-awaited complete model change has arrived. With the modifications to the ballast system, castability is greatly improved. In addition, we have adjusted the action and body balance to better suit the ever-changing challenging surf conditions.

We have fine-tuned its specifications to better suit today's surfing game. To put it in perspective, this new model will look a bit like a model between the Tide Minnow Slim 120 and the 175.

For the moving weight system, the original model used a steel ball that attached to a magnet while swimming, while the new model has changed to a free-moving tungsten ball. In addition to modifying the ballast system, we refined the profile of the back of the body to reduce air resistance. By installing the heavier tungsten ball that transfers more smoothly into the body, we were able to realise a more stable flight posture resulting in a 10% increase in launch distance.

While maintaining the popular rolling action, we have increased the bait's water-catching ability so that the bait maintains balance where the water tends to become rough. This helps anglers easily feel the tricky current in the surf. In other words, the body of the lure oscillates slightly compared to the original model, resulting in greater water resistance. The swimming depth is much deeper at about 80 ~ 120 cm.
