The Hardy 1939 Bougle Heritage Fly Reel is a tribute to one of the most iconic and collectible Hardy reels ever produced. The original Bougle was last made in 1939 in very limited numbers, and many collectors consider that year the reel’s functional and aesthetic high point. This Heritage series recreates that character with timeless looks and authentic feel.
It features the proven Mark II check mechanism, known for its sweet sound and wide-ranging regulation. A dark gunmetal anodised finish echoes the original reels, delivering a true vintage appearance. The reel is quickly convertible from left to right hand wind, making it practical for modern anglers. Each reel is supplied with a Hardy Bros. soft leather, sheepskin-lined reel pouch.
