L-alanine is one of the most stimulating amino acids for carp. Among other functions, it promotes glucose metabolism for energy. It is highly concentrated in muscle tissue. Not only carp, but also carnivorous fish such as catfish, pike, etc. are fond of this amino acid.
Note: Commercially available beta-alanine is not the same as L-alanine.
