Trolling and big game fishing rods

Trolling is a fishing technique that is carried out in the sea with the boat, pulling the lures, artificial or live. It is further distinguished in coastal trolling and offshore trolling (big game). Trolling can be done with artificial bait such as minnow and feathers or with live bait such as garfish, mackerel, squid and cork. With lures you can tow at high speeds up to 7 knots, with live baits instead the trolling speed must be slower, maximum 3 knots. The most sought-after prey in this technique are certainly amberjacks and snappers, pulling even at great depths up to 80/100 meters. A technique that is not easy to practice but that can give great satisfaction and noteworthy game boxes. It is practiced throughout Italy in any season of the year.
